I joined BeautiControl in August of 2005 after attending my friend Monica's first spa party. I loved the concept of relaxing women, something women desperately need. I also loved the products and felt like I could sell them without really selling, because the products sell themselves. At the time we had two small children and I was staying at home. I hoped BC would give us a little extra income. At the time $40 bucks seemed like a million. Now, BC has changed my life, my family's lifestyle, and the lives of so many others. I am able to give in ways I could have never imagined, buy what I want at the grocery store, and more importantly, have a sense of security. I LOVE this business! BeautiControl is a strong company with a proven record... this business works! The question is will you WORK IT?

I joined BeautiControl in October of 2008 as a Bargain Betty.  My only objective was to purchase my products at a discount because I LOVED them and WANTED it all.  It wasn't until BeautU training in November when I realized the financial opportunity BeautiControl offered.  I was skeptical, but decided I would give it a shot.  My daughter had wrecked my car and with the economy in a downward spiral, my husband recommended we not purchase another one.  Therefore, my daughter and I had to share an older Toyota 4runner or a big dually truck!! Not fun.  By January, I was easily profiting more than enough for a car payment.  February, I bought a car.  BC has provided the income to make my car payment plus.  My mother often reminds me, "You only wanted to make an extra $500 and now...Wow!"  BC has taught me, "If you are passionate and determined, the sky is the limit!!"  It has been a little over a year and I have achieved director with the help of many new friends. These new relationships are the stars that light the path on this incredible journey.  Thank you Wendy Guilford for sharing the opportunity, and Lisa Hermann, what can I say.  You took me under your wing and believed in me when I didn't believe in myself. You ladies shine bright.  To my team,  you light up my life!  I love you all and only hope to help light your way on this amazing voyage!

For me, being a BC Spa Girl just fit! I finally found my niche; my calling in life. To make women feel amazing every day; whether that is through the experience of a Spaaah Party, using the products at home or helping them make extra money. I feel like I am finally “somebody”! That feeling alone is enough to give me the confidence and drive to achieve more through BC.

My first spa experience was… good. The consultant didn’t really share the opportunity with me. I wasn’t in a position where I could afford the products I wanted. So, I hosted a spa party; just so I could earn the Warming Green Tea Masque! My sister fell in love with the products. When her consultant stopped delivering her products in a timely manner, she took it into her own hands and signed for the discount.

After she attended BeautiU she said, “Rhachel, you would be so good at this and you could make some extra money.” Well, it is all uphill from there! Each spa I held got me one step closer to meeting my goal as Director. I’ve had great spas, terrible spas and everywhere in between. I would get discouraged for a few days then get right back on that saddle.  Since I joined BC in February 2009, I can remember three different occasions that I didn’t have any spas on the calendar. It would be an understatement to say that I did not work hard for this!

This opportunity is my retirement plan and the future for my family. I am 24 and single. I am so grateful I was able to be introduced to BC early on in life. I am exactly where I need to be at exactly the right time. I know I am here to change the lives of the many women I will meet in my BC journey.   I am SO excited about doing spa parties!!

I joined BeautiControl in February of 2010 after being invited to five spa parties!  I’m so glad that I attended and booked my own party that night. I work a full time job and had no intentions of selling the products. I was just looking to have a girl’s night to relax with friends.  My husband had hip surgery and I was staying home to care for him.  During this time is when I began experimenting with the BeautiControl products. This is when I fell in love with the product lines BC offers and felt so strongly about the company that I decided I could sell a little here and there for some extra spending money.

 

I called ten of my friends and to my surprise booked ten parties with the first party being in April 2010. With the confidence and guidance given to me by my executive director Lisa, my business has taken off. I never would have dreamed that I would be managing my own team and helping them to reach their goals with their own BeautiControl business.  I have gained so much since joining BC. My confidence level has skyrocketed and I’ve let go of the insecurities that I once possessed.

 

I’ve gained a new set of lifelong friends. A few of which I was blessed to travel to Texas with for Celebration 2010. God is so good!  I continue to meet and draw support from my wonderful husband, supportive family, mentor Lisa Hermann, and my outstanding team, the “Blue Beauties”.  A message to my team;  thank you for all your hard work, dedication, and positive attitudes.

 

I look forward to watching each of you grow and will be here to provide guidance every step of the way!! I feel so blessed to call each of you not only my teammate but my friend. Every day is something new and exciting with BC and I look forward to the opportunities that are continuously set before me.

As a pastor's wife and a stay at home mother of 3, I joined BeautiControl in August 2009 when a dear friend of mine asked me to attend BeautiU with her so she didn't have to travel to Tallahassee alone. I went with a little interest because of the stories she had shared with me regarding the money people were bringing in. Money was tight in our home since my husband and I made the decision for me to stay home. I listening to Lisa and Jina share their story and hearing how amazing the products and opportunity were, I decided to join. I went home and told my husband that I had just signed up at what was then the $385 case. He was less than impressed considering our already tight budget and asked me to "at least make our money back." That was the beginning of my amazing journey!

 

My friend, Kathy and I had been working our spa business together. We were making a little money here and there, scheduling parties when we could. Kathy was diagnosed for the third time with cancer which forced her to put BC on the back burner while she had her treatments. In the meantime, my husband and I sensed the Lord leading us closer to home, back to the Jacksonville area closer to our families. We moved in June of 2010 and BC was our only income for almost 3 months. I attended Celebration as a VIP at the prompting of my BC friends. With very little money in my pocket, I sat mesmerized. I knew that there was something big in my future! I caught the vision of the Freedom Plan. I realized just how obtainable it really was. 

 

I went back to Jacksonville and within 1 month I promoted to Sr VIP, by the end of October, I was Exec VIP. My precious friend, Kathy went to be with the Lord on December 12, 2010. It was a moment in my life that forever changed me. My husband had preached his childhood best friend's funeral just a year prior and now I was walking in his shoes. My heart was so burdened with pain but I knew that I could not let Kathy's legacy die. You see although Kathy never earned a Mustang, made huge commission checks, never even made VIP...I carry her BC legacy on with every new member of my team. As I sat at my desk, just minutes after sending the text to my friends and family that I had made it, reality hit me, I couldn't call the one who made it all possible for me. I wept uncontrollably for a while, thanking God for the friend I had in Kathy, the new friends I have met along my journey and those that have yet to come into my life. My prayer is that I always offer the opportunity as a gift rather than as an accomplishment.

 

No one really knows the struggles that my family faced, no one really knows just how much BeautiControl changed my life, how I literally fed my family with my sales. I know that the Lord has blessed me with a tremendously opportunity to change the lives of women that surround me. It is a responsibility that I do not take lightly. Although achieving the title of Director, it may seem like I have arrived when in all actually, this ceiling is now the floor in which I will walk until I reach another ceiling.

What an amazing ride! That is the first thing that comes to mind when sitting down to write my story...

   I joined BC in November of 2010.  I wanted the "I deserve it all basket", but in no way shape form or fashion, did I want to do spa parties or sell BC.  I had a bad experience about 6 years before and decided to never try something like that again.  Little did I know that this was NOTHING like the previous "business opportunity".  I used the products from November to the new year... and LOVED them!  So, when Lisa called me to say that she had won a trip to Las Vegas and could not do the parties that were booked at mine, I VERY hesitantly agreed to give "spa-ing" a skeptical, half-hearted try.

     It was at my first spa that I saw the light!  I figured that for every spa that I had, I could take one night off from work!  I am a registered nurse and have worked in labor and delivery for 15 years.  I worked 7pm-7am.  I realized that I could work for 3 hours, sipping wine and ministering to women and make about the same as I would in 12 hours of high stress, back breaking work.  You do the math!!  I quickly got some spas on the calendar and got to "work".

     I have not stopped since!  My goal is to have 6-8 spas a month.   Sometimes there are less, sometimes more... but I consistently work my spa business and always strive to push myself to reach further, push harder and improve what I can.  I like to say that when you are uncomfortable, you are growing.  I have since then, retired from the hospital and work my spa business "full time" (in between field trips, football games, lunch bunch etc...).  I am so proud of this company, the group of women I work with, and what it has done for my family and myself that I no longer hesitate to share it with everyone I can!

     When I started, I prayed to the Lord that if this was His will, He would open the door and shove me through it.  He definitely has.  My continued prayer is that I am obedient and maintain a servant's heart and continue to view this as a ministry and opportunity to help others.  He has blessed me to overflowing!  Every daydream about working from home, while increasing my income has come true!

     It has not come without hard work, a determined heart, and sacrifice.  My husband, Phil and my boys, Logan, Spencer and Jacob have been my biggest fans and cheerleaders.  Without their support and encouragement, this would have been a much harder, possibly impossible road.  I cannot thank them enough!  It is for them that I continue to strive for greater challenges and goals. 

     If you are reading this and have either very clear or very foggy goals of becoming a director, here are a few parting words of wisdom.....This is do-able! Don't forget that!!  This is not a difficult business or one that is for a chosen few!  Book those spas!  Share the opportunity and lead by example!  Directorship is waiting....

My first thought is “I did it. I set a goal, followed the plan, and met my first big goal.” WOW!! “I really did it, and I am looking forward to obtaining my next goal of helping others obtain their goals!” My BC story begins seven years ago. I went to one of Lisa Hermann’s very first spa parties. From that spa I booked my own. Six years later Lisa called me on a booking blitz and asked if I would host another spa for her. I was thrilled and booked the spa at probably one of the worst possible times. My daughter was graduating high school; I was Vice President of one organization, Treasurer of another and working in the family business as office manager. I had 2 people show up, my best friend and one other close friend. Lisa assured me that the best parties were small ones. Well, that in fact is true. From that spa night I launched my business. I decided I needed the “I deserve it all” basket and so did my friend. Little did I know my friend would call me the next day and say “we are doing this.” In my mind all along I was going to be a spa girl, but “ease” into things. I started attending Unit Rallies right away and with each meeting my excitement grew as I could see the big picture. I in fact have not missed a Unit Rally since joining the business. The very first rally I met the most amazing women. Going to the meetings, the trainings, the national events, is as much to be around these wonderful women as it is to learn more about the business. I went to BeautiU May of 2011, where I placed an order. By June I and my first signed consultant had already signed three consultants and my team was growing.   For me, Celebration was the “key” to it all. It was there that I saw this little business was what I had been searching years for and didn’t know. I came back from Celebration ready to take action. In September I ended up working so much at my day job that my spa business was suffering. I felt so strongly that the SPA Life was for me, I took a leave of absence from my job in October and hit the ground running. In FOUR months I promoted to Director.

My deepest desire is to help others meet their goals, helping them find their “why” and change their lives with a positive business and many wonderful leaders. I am eager to meet those yet to cross my path. I truly enjoy the fellowship and genuine feeling of what this business brings to me. Working your own business is rewarding, the hard work and dedication are rewards both personal and monetary.

I cannot thank Lisa enough for calling me on that booking blitz. I needed this business for so many reasons. I needed the love and FRIENDSHIPS, and the PRODUCTS my skin certainly needed. BeautiControl can be the answer to that little voice urging and nudging you. Do NOT Ignore it….If I can help anyone, just contact me anytime. I truly love it!!!

In November 2010, I was invited to my friend Susan’s house for a Spa-jama party. That night was fun and relaxing and I bought some make-up.  I didn’t even get skincare because I’m a bit of a skeptic and the makeup looked great! I booked a party so that my friend could get her benefits and didn’t think much else about it. In February, Susan called to tell me that she was doing my party because Lisa was out of town.

Once the party was over, I asked Susan how much money she made. I was impressed! She saw that spark of interest in me and very gently started planting seeds. I remember the day she said to me, “You would be really good at this Mary!” I started to wonder if maybe that were true. Over the next few weeks I would call her after her parties and say “So, what were your profits tonight?” She just gave me the numbers and left the ball in my court. I needed flexibility and reasoned that if I could do this, I would be making a lot more money and have the freedom to make my own schedule.

I have to admit that I started this business for the money, but what has kept me here are the people. I am blessed to be a part of an amazing team led by Lisa Hermann and my Parent Director, Susan Hinds. They both have the heart of a teacher, they are generous and patient, and best of all, they encourage me and take joy in even the smallest of my accomplishments!! My big “Aha” moment came when I attended leadership a few months ago. My heart was moved by the challenges some of the women faced. Their “Why” was so strong that they turned their obstacles into opportunities. Not only that, but their focus was not on themselves, but on others.

I thought to myself, “Why am I moving so slowly in my business?” Fear of rejection, fear of failure? My fear put all of the focus on me, but when I meet someone new and I think of what this business can do to change their life, fear turns to a sense of responsibility. If I let them walk away knowing I have the key to more time with their family, more money to take care of needs, more freedom to give of themselves and their finances, THAT would be failure!!!

One final note…You can do and be whatever you tell yourself you are capable of. You may have been told by someone once that you wouldn’t amount to anything. That person might have been someone you looked up to. Maybe even a parent. You may have internalized those words and let them determine whether you fail or succeed. I know this because I did for a really long time. BeautiControl has taught me that my attitude, my passion for my products and my desire to empower others will keep me on the path that leads to success. The best part is, I CHOOSE to enjoy my journey!!
